Blending Alpaca with Merino offers the dyer a yarn which will drink up the color.  As for how the two fibers marry together, in texture, this yarn is softer than our fine merino yarns because of the addition of alpaca.  Twenty percent alpaca lends enough of the soft silkiness which is innate to the alpaca fiber to create a unique yarn.  This yarn has endless possibilities beyond socks!  Here is a fine sweater yarn, lovely shawl base, or your perfect yarn for hats.
