Caution about domestic USPS shipping schedule
Post Office orders may be delayed. Lesson: Order early.
Since our move to the new facility, our relationship with USPS has changed. We are now located in a commercial zone within our city, and the post office only visits the area once daily, and that is between 9:30 and 10:00 a.m. This means that if you choose USPS.com as your shipper, the order may not get shipped the same day. We have one hour to pack and create labels for USPS in the mornings, and some orders may not be ready by the early cut-off and will be delayed for a day until shipped. So, the new two-day and three-day options you see when you order may not have any effect at all on actual shipping day. If this is important to you, then choose FedEx or UPS. If this is important to you, please do not eMail us asking if your order was shipped. If this is important to you, then order early.
All of our international orders go by USPS International Priority Mail. We pack and ship in the sequential order that Orders are received, and your order may have an additional day added to the journey, as well. All because of the adherence to the pickup schedule by USPS.
We have been in negotiations with our local USPS, and understood that they had petitioned for a change in the pickup schedule from the USPS office in Richmond, Virginia; however, today we learned that no exceptions can be made in their pickup schedule.
I am so sorry to report all of this, as many of our customers prefer USPS and have been led to believe that the service had improved recently.
