Merino – No Finer Feeling

Merino:  No Finer Feeling

(from Vogue UK:  August 2013, the following quote)

ALEXANDER WANG is the latest to herald the benefits of using Merino wool, by becoming an ambassador for The Woolmark Company‘s Merino Wool: No Finer Feeling initiative. The designer stars in a campaign shoot photographed by Annie Leibovitz, in which he’s seen wearing a wool hoodie and standing alongside a Merino Ram.

The Woolmark Company’s campaign aims to promote the benefits and versatility of the luxury fibre. Wang – who used Merino wool in the autumn/winter 2013 collection for his eponymous label –  follows Narciso Rodriguez in becoming an ambassador for the initiative.

Other designers to have worked with Woolmark in the past include Vivienne Westwood, Mark Jacobs and Giorgio Armani, while the likes of Victoria Beckham, Diane von Furstenberg and Donatella Versace have acted as judges in the annual International Woolmark Prize.

Knitting Wallpaper Pattern: Big and Bold!

I have just ordered one roll of this knitting pattern from Couture Deco and will hang it in my entry hall, surrounded by wood trim, painted to match the other trim in the house.

It is a visual that screams fun, this woman loves her knitting, and undyed yarn from my favorite distributor … who else?
